…This past year, 2006, the Office of Human Resources participated in a retreat conducted by one of the Center’s staff.  It proved to be of great benefit to our staff in networking, goal sharing, and strategic planning.  We came away with a feeling of pride and camaraderie towards each other with a greater appreciation for the Center and all the programs they promote.

We are especially pleased with the legal/financial assistance program and very excited about their brand new program addressing elder care issues.  The request to provide some type of information regarding elder care issues has been one of our priorities which the Center has fully addressed.  This past year, the Center began a quarterly meeting for all participating companies.  This has proven to be an extremely effective way of communicating and meeting the “players.”

…The new team at the Center was very instrumental in re-educating our employees about the benefits of their services.  I have referred many “management referrals” to the EAP program and we have saved a minimum of three positions by utilizing this benefit over the past two years.  Since, a recent report states that the cost to replace an employee is 150% of their annual salary; we saved in excess of $135,000 by sending these employees to the Center.

I recently attended one of their lunchtime seminars, and found the meeting to be very valuable.  I look forward to upcoming sessions and being able to provide even more ancillary services to our employees.
